As a mom of two active little boys, it’s vital that I know where the best parks are so I can let the kids run off some steam. I’ve fumbled my way through City Parks and Rec websites, Yahoo! and Google Searches, and driving around and getting lost to find new parks to explore.
I’m hoping this blog becomes a resource for other families new to the area, new to exploring the area or just passing through. My family is in Covington, but we explore as far as Seattle to the North, the Mountains to the East, Tacoma to the South and the Kitsap Peninsula to the West. Maybe farther if we get super adventurous this summer.
I’ll mostly focus on free public spaces, but there are some hikes and trails within the State Parks that will require parking permits.
